Welcome South Management Consultants!

clip_image002We’re very happy and honoured to welcome South Management Consultants (SMC) Trust as one of our latest sponsorship partners. The WSPCCA is one of the charities that the organisation is
supporting financially as part of its corporate social responsibility
programme. The SMC Trust made this announcement at a recent cocktail party, which WSPCCA trustees Lungi Sisulu, Lynda and Jenna Clifford attended.

Recently, the SMC Trust hosted “A Night at the Races” to benefit the WSPCCA. The evening’s theme was “Vintage Hollywood” and the only thing that overshadowed the glitz and glamour of the evening was the generosity of the 200 people who attended. The evening’s “Horse Races” and a small memorabilia auction raised over R400,000 for the WSPCCA, which will go a long way in helping three children on the WSPCCA waiting list.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved particularly Thys and Hilda Steenkamp!

About The WSPCF

The Walter Sisulu Paediatric Cardiac Foundation (WSPCF) is a philanthropic paediatric cardiac foundation for Africa, focussing on delivering life-saving surgery for underprivileged children with congenital heart disorders from across Africa. It also aims to develop diagnostic and treatment skills amongst Africa’s medical fraternity and conducts critical research into paediatric cardiac healthcare. The cardiac surgery or intervention is undertaken at the Walter Sisulu Paediatric Cardiac Centre for Africa situated in Netcare Sunninghill Hospital in Johannesburg, , as well as at Cape Town’s Netcare Christian Barnard Memorial and Red Cross Children’s Hospitals. The WSPCF was founded by Dr. Robin Kinsley in 2003, and was established as a living legacy to the late Walter Sisulu and his widow, Albertina, both of whom dedicated their lives to helping children in need.
